In order to produce fertilized eggs from one zebrafish breeding pair, the breeding set Single Box can be used. This single box is filled with 1 liters of system water. The stainless steel bottom and the removable divider are placed in the tank and subsequently one male is placed on one side of the divider and one female on the other site. At the moment spawning is required, the divider is removed.
The produced fertilized eggs fall through stainless steel bottom and can be collected easily after the fish have been removed.
The breeding set Single Box is based on a standard single box. The set consists of:
- 1 standard Single Box tank (outside dim. 200 x 100 x 84 mm (LxWxH), effective volume 1 liter)
- 1 breeding insert of stainless steel mesh 1 x 1 mm
- 1 removable polycarbonate divider for the Single Box
The single box is dishwasher safe at temperatures <40oC, and can not be autoclaved.
