This Artemia hatching unit comes as a complete set-up. This unit can be placed against a wall near a water drainage point (e.g. sink or floor gutter) and has three Artemia hatching cones (Ø 160 mm, height 500 mm). Each of the cones has a practical volume of 6 litres. Each cone is equipped with LED lighting, and each cone is connected to an air pump (providing the necessary aeration for Artemia cyst hatching). Next to this, each cone is equipped with a 25 Watt (230V) heater to maintain the temperature at 26-28°C. The lighting, aeration, and heating are connected to a central electrical cabinet and can be switched off to harvest the Artemia nauplii using the main switch.
The Artemia hatching unit is equipped with non-transparent doors. These doors prevent light from the unit to light up the room where it is placed. This is especially important when the Artemia hatching unit is placed in the same room as the zebrafish systems. The unit also comes with a water collection tray and drainage beaker with 100µm mesh for harvesting the Artemia. The water collection tray can be connected to a water drainage point in the room using a hosepipe of PVC connection (not included). The unit has one power plug with a 5-meter cable.
